Marriage as a convenant

With our pre-marital counseling, we were taught that marriage is a covenant. Although we always knew it, we did not have a clear understanding of what covenant really means.

Unlike contract, covenant is not based on the action or behavior of the spouse. With contract, one is only required to do or act based on the action or behavior of the other.

We were challenged to reconsider our action and to interact with each other on a covenant based relationship instead of a contract based relationship which demand and only do when one’s desire is satisfied. It is a process and we are still unlearning the old way and learning the new but we see God bringing changes in our lives already.

Pretending to be in a deep bible study 😉

This coming Sunday, we will have our first local outreach in a local church, teaching single and couples about family restoration.

Outreach coming up

Our Family Ministry “big” outreach start beginning of October 2014. We will be going to Johannesburg, Swaziland and then back to the Western Cape in Wellington. The outreach will last about two months and will be ministering in various places such as prison, rehab center, school, hospital etc.

We need to raise $3500 for this outreach. YWAM staff does not receive salary and are supported by friends, families and churches. You can be part of this journey by praying, donating or by spreading the word by posting this link to your facebook and twitter. Do not forget to follow us on WordPress so you will be among the first to know when we update. Thank you.

You can also make a US tax deductible donation by writing a cheque payable to Youth With A Mission or YWAM to the following address. Please do not write any name on the cheque; attach a separate note designating the donation for the ministry of Ben and Gabryella Rabetafika (FMS Outreach).
